Riverside Park, St Neots
Description and Walk
This is a 72 acre park running alongside the River Great Ouse.
Due to its proximity to the water this is a popular spot for walkers and picnickers, as well as being a well used play area for children.
Since this is essentially just a park and not a nature reserve, like many of our suggested walking spots, you are not likely to bump into unexpected wildlife, though there are plenty of duck, swans and herons.
What makes this a particularly nice place to visit is the closeness to the river and the ability to just sit and watch the boats go by, if that is what you like doing. At the same time the park is big enough to stretch your legs by doing a circuit or two.
If you are going there with family, there are children’s play areas, a skateboard park and a miniature railway - the latter is probably subject to selected public running days. Check here: http://www.riversiderailway.co.uk/
